  • Question regarding confession #225 - what is color war? It sounds like fun!!

    We were asked this question a while ago and since our followers come from several camping traditions and probably have different takes on how Color Wars work, we thought it would be a great opportunity to share. 

    So, What is color war?

    1. burn-the-vegan answered: The most exhausting, frustrating, fun, rewarding event one can ever be a part of.
    2. yellowshines answered: Our color war is actually called the great battle but we devide up into color based teams and play a huge game of capture the flag
    3. bean-ricecake answered: everyone at camp is divided up into teams. each team is a colour, and then the teams compete all day

    7. middleofthericefield answered: we ended color war when it got TOO intense haha but for us, each camper got one of two dif colored bandannas and team against each other

    17. minimallyeschew answered: My camp does it over 3 days. There are 4 teams, mixed ages. There are sports, art, dances, songs. It’s pretty awesome.

    19. crazysnotenough answered: Color war is a crazy day when the whole camp dresses up, competes, and cheers each other on to a theme with either 2 or 4 teams. We love it!
