My camp director shared this article with me and I thought it was worth passing it along to others who believe in the power of camp. http://m.campparents.org/newsletter/1209/seven-experiences-children-need#.UGB4Fn6Mozs.facebook

Anonymous asked: What shoes are the best (and cheap would be nice also) for camp? And do you know the cheapest place to buy natives?
I think it really depends on what kind of camp you’re going to. I am a huge fan of Chacos but I know that there were places that I couldn’t wear them because close toed shoes were required (and then I wore youth Keens because I have tiny feet). Some camps require closed toed shoes around the clock. Check out the dress code regulations for where you are going and consider what kind of activities you will be doing.
