To the person who submitted confession #268, about love ending badly at camp...just wanted to share that I met my fiancee at camp two years ago, and we are planning on getting married next year :) So it doesnt always end badly!
We published this because there are some people who feel this way. Personally I’ve heard more positive stories than negative ones.
A few weeks ago, Camp Confessions was offered an opportunity to do an interview about the site. This will probably answer some questions and spur some others. Please excuse my poorly lit room. Also be sure to click around the rest of the Camp Hacker website. While it is mostly aimed at directors and management, there is still a lot of interesting information (especially if you’re a program nerd like me).
I'm trying to get a job at a new camp this summer... do you have any preferred camps in the Northeast?
Our experience is primarily in the Southeast however we do have a bunch of links on the blogroll page to nationally connected camps. Followers can reblog with their respective camps if they wish to do so.
Hey! I love your blog! I'm pretty sure you have alot of followers so would you mind promoting a summer camp that's looking for male counselors? It's in Missouri. The job requires males to be 18+, available from May 20-August 11, good with kids. Pay is $2000 plus $200 for camp store, free food, free training, free room and board. If you know anyone that wants to apply or you get feedback just tell them to contact me since I can't send a link through here. THANK YOU so much! :D
Question regarding confession #225 - what is color war? It sounds like fun!!
We were asked this question a while ago and since our followers come from several camping traditions and probably have different takes on how Color Wars work, we thought it would be a great opportunity to share.
